Talks by DEI Leaders
The goal of the National MD/PhD DEI Summit is to facilitate discussion on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming in MD/PhD programs to ensure BIPOC representation, support, and success. This summit will feature talks by DEI leaders, workshops, brainstorming sessions, trainee poster session, and networking opportunities.
At the summit we (current MD/PhD trainees) will collectively produce a list of DEI focused action items. In order to do this, we need to understand what DEI initiatives MD/PhD programs are currently tackling and where there may be areas for improvement. To gather this information, we have created a short survey that should only take 10 minutes of your time to fill out.
A poster session will be held Friday, July 16th to highlight the wonderful work students have done to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in MD/PhD training. First and second plate posters will receive recognition. If interested in presenting, please submit your abstract by Monday, July 12th.
Registration closes Thursday, July 15th
Undergraduates, post-bacc students, and others interested in MD/PhD training are invited to attend a panel of current MD/PhD students eager to answer questions on this unique career path.
